My answer

May 4, 2003

1. Are you in agreement with the program one-child?
Yes.

 2. Are you in agreement with the abortion?
I respect any life. I don't advocate abortion.

 3. Is true that eat fetus form parts of tradiotional medicines?
I hear it. But some people including me think this is superstition.

 4. Why the government does not take other measures instead of the abortion?
I know the main family planning measure of China is contraception, not abortion.

5. Are the women in agreement to being sterilized?
No, and Chinese government doesn't advocate sterilizing.

6. Which do you believe is the cause of this law?
For Chinese living quality and  Chinese development.

7. How did the Chinese react in the 1974 when the law was implanted?
I don't know which "law" you mention, but I know family planning wasn't strictly implemented at first. I was born in Wuhan, a big city, 1979. I'm the second child of my parents, the first child is female.

8. How many methods are to control the population in China?
Contraception, Policy, Penalty, Provision to public servant, Political discipline of Chinese Communist Party.

9. If you could be the president of China, what would you do in relation to the control of the population in China?
I'll let family planning policy more scientific, more effective. When Chinese economy becomes power, I may consider change "Only 1 child in 1 family" policy to "At most 2 child in 1 family" policy.

10. How does the Chinese take the methods of the vasectomy in the natality control?
I think vasectomy is seldom implemented in China. Condom is advocated and popular.
